Thank you for your reply. Regarding your questions, the idle does seem slightly rougher than usual, although there is no whistling sound. I have not yet thoroughly inspected for oil leaks. If it is indeed the crankcase ventilation valve, how critical is its immediate replacement? What could happen if I delay the maintenance?

If the idle is rough, and you're seeing smoke, driving with a bad crankcase valve can lead to serious engine damage over time. Think blown seals, oil leaks everywhere, and potentially a seized engine. It's best to get it checked by a workshop ASAP. They can confirm the issue and give you a proper quote for repair.

I appreciate the advice. Based on the information provided, I will schedule an appointment with a qualified mechanic to assess the crankcase ventilation system. I had it diagnosed, and the crankcase ventilation was indeed defective, and the eventual repair cost amounted to 360€. Thank you again for your assistance.

Hey, those symptoms do sound worrying! A faulty crankcase ventilation valve can cause all sorts of issues. Have you noticed any unusual idle? Maybe a whistling sound or a rough running engine at a standstill? Also, have you checked for any obvious signs of oil leaks around the engine?
