Thanks for the quick response! Where exactly did you find the voltage drops in your XC90? Was it difficult to access? And was it a similar experience with starting issues?

Yes, the symptoms were the same, quite hard to start. Given the complexity of modern vehicle electrics, I would suggest a workshop diagnoses it. It could be something minor, like a faulty circuit breaker, but it could also be more involved. They have the tools to pinpoint the exact location of the fault, and it's often more cost-effective than chasing ghosts.

Thanks a lot! I took it to a workshop, and you were right, the battery was defective. They replaced it, and the car starts perfectly now. The final bill came to 290€. I really appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my XC90. Have you checked for any voltage drops or shorts in the wiring harness? The car's electrical system is like a complex network; a single faulty connection can cause all sorts of headaches. Does the problem only happen on cold starts, or is it intermittent?
