XC90 Overheating Speed Sensor

Whoa, overheating and a check engine light on a '22 XC90? That bites! I've heard dodgy sensors can mess with the fan big time. Is the fan making any weird noises, or is it just not kicking on at all? Have you checked the coolant level, just in case? Maybe even peek at the fan blades to make sure nothing's blocking them? Could be a simple fix before it becomes a major headache.

If the car doesn't 'know' how hot the engine is getting (thanks to a bad sensor), it won't tell the fan to turn on. I consulted a certified Volvo technician, and they confirmed a defective speed sensor. It's been replaced. The total repair cost was about 250€, thanks for the help.
