XC90 Poor Start Reduced Power

Having trouble with my 2006 Volvo XC90 gasoline. It's got about 86k km on it. Lately, it's been starting poorly, fuel consumption seems higher, and engine power feels reduced. Plus, the idling is uneven, and sometimes it even stalls at idle. Suspect a defective injection nozzle, probably just dirty. Anyone else experienced this?

I had something similar happen on my XC90. Was it like a misfire feeling sometimes? I noticed my fuel economy went down too. Check for any clogging or residue around the injection system components. Does it happen more when the engine is cold?

Yeah, feels like misfires sometimes. I'll check for clogging, good point. Does the cold make it worse for you? Did you ever figure out the root cause? Trying to avoid just throwing parts at it.

Cold definitely made it worse. Eventually, I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was the injection valve. They recommended replacing it. It fixed the problem immediately.

Appreciate the advice! I'll probably take it to a workshop for diagnosis too. Just got a quote of 515€ for the repair. Seems about right. Thanks again!
