Xcent Headlight Range Control Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Hyundai Xcent diesel is experiencing issues with its headlight range control, including a fault in the error memory, a warning light, and improper low beam alignment. A defective servomotor is suspected as a potential cause. It is suggested to check the electrical connectors for looseness or corrosion, as these could also contribute to the problem. A workshop visit is planned for further diagnosis and repair.

The light intensity does seem erratic. Could a loose or corroded electrical connector really cause such a beam issue? Where should I focus when inspecting the connectors?

Connectors can cause weirdness. But if the intensity is fluctuating and you're getting auto-leveling errors, it sounds like the servomotor. Might be worth getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks! I'll schedule a workshop visit. They quoted 1040€ for the repair. I'll post the outcome.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my Xcent. Is the light intensity also all over the place? Worth checking the electrical connectors too, could be a simple fix.
