XRV Climate Control Fault
Summary of the thread
The 2018 Honda XRV is experiencing climate control issues, with a rear ventilation flap fault and malfunctioning climate control unit, resulting in warm air from the air conditioning. The problem seems related to a circulation issue, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug connection. A similar case was resolved by addressing a faulty connection at a workshop, suggesting professional repair as the best solution.

Yes! Exactly that! The automatic climate IS going crazy! It switches vents erratically and sometimes just ignores my inputs completely. Did you ever figure out what was causing it, and how bad was the damage to your wallet?

Yep, sounds like the exact same gremlin I had. Sadly, I didn't manage to fix it myself. I took it to a workshop and they sorted it out. Definitely a faulty connection, like you suspected. I'd advise you to do the same, unless you want to spend days messing with wires.

Thanks a bunch for confirming! I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like it's the best bet. I'll take it in and report back. Luckily, the bill wasn't too bad, only 95€. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have an XRV too and had a similar issue with my air distribution. Is the automatic climate going crazy? Like, switching vents randomly or not responding to the controls?
