XRV injection system fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Honda XRV with 162777 km is experiencing higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration, indicating a potential injection system fault. A suggestion was made to check the cable or plug connections to the injection components, as a defective connection could cause these symptoms. After taking the vehicle to a workshop, a defective plug connection was identified and repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the tip! Which cable or plug connection should I be looking for specifically? Is there an easy way to spot the defective one?

It's hard to say exactly which one without more diagnostics. If you are not familiar with the injection system, it's best to get it checked at a workshop.

Okay, thanks for the advice. Took it to the workshop, and it turns out a plug connection was indeed defective, just like you said. Repair cost was 95€. Runs like new now!

I had a similar issue with my XRV. Check the cable or plug connections to the injection components. A defective connection can cause those symptoms.
