XRV Transmission Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Honda XRV is experiencing transmission issues, with both the check engine and transmission indicator lights on. The gearbox is slipping, shifting poorly, and making a grinding noise. An error scan suggests a defective automatic transmission torque converter lock-up clutch. The problem is confirmed by another owner with similar experiences, who advises immediate repair to prevent further damage.

Yeah, the grinding is relatively new, only in the last couple of weeks. The slipping has been gradual over the last month or so. Was that your experience as well?

Yep, grinding was the last straw before I took it in. Lock-up clutch in the auto transmission was the culprit. I'd suggest getting it looked at ASAP. No point in delaying the inevitable.

Thanks for the confirmation. Looks like I'm heading to the workshop then. Ugh, this is gonna sting the wallet. The estimate I received was around 2120€ for the transmission repair! Appreciate the insight!

Ugh, sounds rough. I have an XRV too, and those symptoms sound eerily familiar. Did the grinding noise start happening recently?
