Xsara Idle Air Control Valve Stalling

Sounds familiar! I had something like that happen with my Xsara a while back. Was the air intake particularly dirty?

The air intake is really dirty. Did cleaning the throttle body and air valve fix the stalling for you?

I tried cleaning everything myself, but it didn't really fix it. I took it to a workshop. They said the valve was faulty and replaced it. That did the trick.

Thanks for sharing. I took it to a workshop as you suggested. They confirmed a faulty idle air control valve and a lot of intake contamination. Replacement and cleaning seems to have fixed it. Cost me 425€.
