XTrail Air Suspension Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Nissan XTrail is experiencing air suspension issues, including failure to lift, leaning, error messages, and warning lights. Possible causes include air leaks or a malfunctioning suspension pump. A similar case was resolved by fixing a faulty plug connection at the compressor, which was a quick and inexpensive repair. Checking connections and getting a proper diagnosis is recommended to address the problem effectively.

Plug connection, eh? Interesting. Where exactly was the faulty connection on yours? Was it easy to spot or did you have to hunt for it?

It was the one connected to the compressor itself, pretty much right at the back. I'd suggest getting it checked properly as messing with suspension stuff can be dodgy – better safe than sorry. It was a quick fix for me, about 95€, but you'll want to get the definitive cause diagnosed first.

Cheers, appreciate the heads up. Turns out you were spot on! Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a defective connection at the compressor. Quick fix and the wallet only took a minor hit!

Sounds familiar. I've got an XTrail too. Had similar ride height problems which ended up being related to a faulty plug connection. Have you checked the simple stuff first? Any obvious signs of damage on the cables?
