XTrail Rail Pressure Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Nissan X-Trail is experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, engine stalling when idling, and reduced power. The error code indicates a faulty rail pressure sensor signal, which aligns with the symptoms of incorrect fuel pressure information leading to these problems. A similar issue was resolved in another vehicle by replacing the pressure sensor, suggesting that professional inspection and sensor replacement could be a viable solution.

The error code points directly to the rail pressure sensor signal being out of whack. Plus, the symptoms align with a failing sensor - the engine not getting the correct fuel pressure info, leading to the stalling and power loss. Did your Astra throw the same code, or was it something different?

It was a similar code on my Astra. Eventually, after chasing a few other things, I took it to a workshop. They replaced the pressure sensor, and the problems vanished. Considering the code you're getting, it might be worth getting it checked professionally.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I appreciate it. I will take it to the workshop. They changed the pressure sensor, and the cost was 240€. Now everything runs smoothly again!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Check engine light, stalling... the whole thing. I recall someone mentioning pressure sensor issues, but I was initially skeptical. What makes you so sure it's the pressure sensor specifically and not something else?
