XTrail start stop failure
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Nissan XTrail hybrid is experiencing issues with its start-stop system, where the engine shuts off unexpectedly and a warning light appears. The problem may be linked to a defective or heavily discharged battery, as the start-stop system is sensitive to voltage drops. It is suggested to have the battery checked professionally to confirm and resolve the issue.

It occurs intermittently. I haven't specifically tested the battery, but I suspect it might be heavily discharged or defective. Could that be the problem?

In my case, a defective battery was indeed the culprit. The start-stop system is very sensitive to voltage drops. I would recommend having the battery checked at a workshop.

I appreciate the advice. I will have the battery checked professionally. Thanks for confirming the battery issue is a probable cause. It's likely to cost 290€.

I've had a similar experience with my XTrail. Does it happen frequently, and have you noticed any issues with the car battery?
