Yaris Blower Motor Failure

My 2015 Toyota Yaris hybrid's fresh air blower has packed it in. Blower motor doesn't work, and there's an error stored. I suspect the blower motor is defective, but has anyone seen this before I start ripping the dash apart?

Had a similar gremlin with my old Peugeot. The symptoms sound familiar. Does the fan work on any speed setting, or is it completely dead? Any weird noises before it stopped?

Completely dead on all settings. No unusual noises beforehand, just suddenly stopped. Any chance it was the fan speed controller on your Peugeot and not the blower motor itself?

Yeah, I was hoping it was the resistor pack at first, but no luck. Turned out the blower motor was toast. In your Yaris case, I'd reckon it's worth a trip to a workshop before you start replacing parts yourself.

Cheers for the insight. Ended up taking it to a local shop – blower motor was indeed the culprit. 365€ all in, parts and labour. Appreciate the advice!
