Yaris Diesel Overheating Communication Error

My 2006 Toyota Yaris diesel is overheating, the check engine light is on, and coolant is leaking. The mileage is 126084 km. I'm getting a control unit communication error. Could it be a dodgy cable or plug?

I had a similar issue with my Yaris. Is the CAN bus involved? A software glitch in a control module could cause such a communication fault.

A software glitch? What was the source of your communication issues? And what control module was giving you grief?

I would take your Yaris to the workshop to be checked. The mechanic will be able to tell you exactly what is wrong.

It was a defective cable connection to the control unit, just as suspected. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Thanks for the help!
