Yaris emergency call system error
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Toyota Yaris owner experienced an error with the emergency call system, indicated by a message on the speedometer and a warning light. The likely cause was identified as a defective cable or plug. After consulting with others and visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that the issue was due to a bad connection in the control module cable, which was repaired.

Thanks! I haven't checked the control module directly, not sure where to find it in the Yaris. My assumption about the cable was based on some forum posts. Were your symptoms identical, and what did it end up being for your Corsa?

Okay, so my symptoms weren't exactly identical, but close. The Corsa kept throwing up error messages about the emergency call function too. I'd advise against fiddling too much yourself if you don't know where it is. It eventually needed a visit to the workshop. They sorted it quickly.

Thanks! I appreciate the input. I took it to a shop, and you were right, the control module cable had a bad connection. Repair cost me 95€. At least it's sorted now!

That's a bummer! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa, although it wasn't exactly the same. I was getting weird diagnostic codes related to the telematics control module. Are you sure it's just the cable or connection? Did you check the control module itself?
