Yaris fuel flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Toyota Yaris diesel owner experienced a fuel flap issue where the release mechanism failed, causing the flap to be stuck and some car functions to be unavailable. The problem was suspected to be with the electric actuator. Another individual suggested checking the actuator, as it was a common issue. The owner confirmed the diagnosis at a workshop, where a defective linkage was repaired, resolving the problem.

No noise at all from the key fob. Where is the electric actuator located? Is it easy to access to check it myself?

Yep, same here, no noise at all when it happened to me. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop. From what you are saying, it seems like the same issue I had.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were right. Defective linkage. Repair cost me 210€. All sorted now.

I had something similar on my Yaris. Check the electric actuator; that's often the culprit. Is the key fob release making any noise at all?
