Yaris transmission issues

I'm experiencing problems with my 2020 Toyota Yaris hybrid. My radiator oil pressure seems defective. The transmission indicator light and the check engine light are both on. The automatic transmission is in emergency mode and doesn't shift as usual. I've also noticed gearbox slippage and grinding noises. I checked the error memory, and there's an error stored. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the cause?

I had similar issues with my Toyota Yaris. The symptoms sound very familiar. Did you check the radiator coolant level? Also, have you noticed if the cooling fan is running constantly or not at all?

Thanks for your reply. No, I haven't checked the coolant level or the cooling fan. Where exactly should I be looking for the coolant level, and how would I know if the fan is working correctly?

Okay, so, it's hard to say for sure without a proper diagnostic. In my case, I thought it was a simple fix, but it turned out to be more complicated. My suggestion is to take it to a trusted workshop. It is probably a defective cable or plug connection of the component. For me, the repair only cost 95€.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop as you suggested, and you were right, it was a defective cable connection. They fixed it, and everything is running smoothly now. Really appreciate your help!
