Zoe climate control panel failure

Hi, I have a 2012 Renault Zoe (electric engine) with 73746 km. The climate control panel has stopped working. The error memory has an error stored, the heating output is too low, and the air conditioning system won't switch on. I'm guessing it could be a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

Hey! I had a similar issue with my Zoe. By climate control panel, do you mean the whole HVAC system – the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning? For me, the display was blank, and no amount of button pressing would do anything. Have you checked the wiring harness behind the panel itself? It's often a loose connection there. Also, have you tested the temperature sensor? A faulty sensor could give the system bad information, stopping it from working properly.

Thanks for the tips! When you say wiring harness, do you mean the big bunch of wires that plugs into the back of the climate control unit? And how would I test the temperature sensor?

Yep, exactly that wiring harness. It's worth checking each wire to see if any are loose. As for testing the temperature sensor, I didn't do it myself. I took mine to a workshop and they diagnosed it pretty quickly. Given the symptoms you're seeing (low heat, no AC), it might be best to get a professional to take a look. Could save you a lot of time and hassle. They mentioned something about checking the power supply as well.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop and you were right, it was a defective cable connection. They fixed it for 95€. Appreciate the help!
