Zoe drivers side door lock failure

I'm experiencing a really strange issue with my 2014 Renault Zoe, the one with the electric engine. It has around 51130 km on the clock. Suddenly, I can't lock or unlock the driver's side door anymore! The automatic locks are completely unresponsive on that side. I suspect it's a faulty door contact signal, as if the car doesn't know the door is closed. I've jiggled the wires a bit, like trying to fix a broken lamp, but no luck. Has anyone else encountered something like this?

I had a similar problem with my Zoe, though I didn't have as many kilometers on mine when it happened. Sounds like it could be the door switch. Check the wiring and connections going to it. Sometimes the plug gets loose.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'door switch,' are you referring to the sensor that detects whether the door is open or closed? And did your entire door locking mechanism fail, or just part of it? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth tackling myself or if it's something the garage needs to sort out.

Yes, the sensor that detects if the door is open or closed. Exactly that one. And yeah, the entire locking mechanism failed on that door. Honestly, if you're not confident with electrics, I'd take it to a workshop. Could save you a bigger headache.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was a defective cable or plug connection! The repair cost me 95€. I really appreciate your help!
