Zoe Keyless Entry Fault

Help! My 2020 Renault Zoe (electric) is playing up. The keyless entry has stopped working, and I'm getting an error message. I plugged in my OBD2 reader and it shows a door handle electronics fault. Anyone seen this before? Mileage is at 57736 km.

I had a similar issue with my Zoe. It sounds like a dodgy connection in the door wiring loom. These electric door components can be quite sensitive. Have you checked the relevant fuses? Also, did the error message give any specific codes?

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, all seem fine. No specific codes, just a generic 'door handle electronics fault' message. Where exactly did you find the connection issue in your door?

Right, generic fault codes are the worst! I didn't actually trace the fault myself. I'd advise against stripping the door down yourself unless you're confident with automotive electrics; you could easily make things worse. I suggest booking it in with a qualified auto electrician. They'll have the proper diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact cable or plug connection that's defective.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a local garage and they found a faulty connector in the door. They cleaned it and secured it properly. Cost me 95€, but at least it's fixed!
