Arkana auxiliary battery alarm issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid with 173,029 km had an issue with the auxiliary battery alarm system being defective, storing an error in the memory and causing the alarm system to malfunction. The problem was suspected to be due to the auxiliary battery being old and discharged. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the auxiliary battery was indeed the cause, and replacing it resolved the alarm issue.

Weird electrical glitches? Like what exactly? I haven't noticed anything else out of the ordinary, just the alarm system thing.

Yeah, the alarm thing was the main symptom, but before that, the interior lights flickered a bit, and the radio sometimes wouldn't turn on right away. But if it's just the alarm, it still might be the battery. Best get it checked out by a workshop.

Thanks for the heads-up! Took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. Auxiliary battery was the culprit, likely discharged due to age. Replaced it for 330€. Alarm's working fine now.

I had a similar issue with my Arkana. Is it throwing any other weird electrical glitches? Mine was doing all sorts of strange things before the alarm system packed it in.
