Arkana Heating Faulty Water Valve

I'm having trouble with my 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid. The heating isn't great, and the error memory says there's a defective water valve. My Arkana has almost 200000 km on it. I'm wondering if it's a bad cable or plug. Anyone else seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid experienced heating issues, with an error indicating a defective water valve. The problem was suspected to be related to a bad cable or plug. After checking connections and consulting a workshop, it was confirmed that the water valve was faulty, and it was replaced to resolve the issue.

That sounds rough. A bad water valve could be the culprit. Is the engine getting up to temp? And have you checked the coolant level? A leak there could also mess with the heating.

Thanks. The engine temp seems normal. I'll check the coolant now. If the coolant is okay, could a blockage cause that error, or should I really be looking at the electrical?

If the coolant's good and the engine isn't overheating, a major leak or blockage is less likely. Given the error code and your hunch, start with the water valve's cable and plug. But those error codes need special tools. I'd still suggest a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the connections, but it was over my head. Took it to a shop, and the water valve was indeed bad. Cost 95€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
