Hi my BMW X1 2012 25d has no throttle control, when it starts it sits at idle then gradually increases to high revs. No response from throttle at all.

Hi Jeff, This could be due to a few different issues. It might be a problem with the throttle body, the throttle position sensor, or the accelerator pedal sensor. I would recommend starting with checking the throttle body for any signs of damage or dirt. If it's clean and functioning properly, you might want to check the throttle position sensor and the accelerator pedal sensor. If the issue persists, it's best to have a mechanic inspect the system for any other potential issues. Please keep us updated on your progress.

I don't drive an X1 now, but an F34 320d built in 2015. After replacing the EGR valve, I also got an error message after 1.5 years. Of course, this also lights up and you can't delete it, only for a few minutes, then it's there again. But I also have a problem with false air. I've been using the smoke machine and there's actually a leak somewhere on the intake manifold, the smoke is just pouring out. I've already bought a new intake manifold, I just need someone to fit it for me, maybe all the faults will be fixed at once. Year of construction 2015 300,000 km 320d GT Xdrive Greetings

Hi, It sounds like you're on the right track. A leak in the intake manifold could definitely cause an error message related to the EGR valve, as well as other issues. Once the new intake manifold is installed, it's possible that all the faults will be fixed. After the replacement, I would recommend clearing the error codes and then driving the car for a bit to see if any codes come back. Please keep us updated on your progress.

I've replaced the egr and the egr collar, do I have to calibrate it or is it plug and play?

Hello, That depends on exactly which vehicle you have. There are some vehicles in which the EGR valve must be moved to a certain "service position" before installation or there are vehicles in which this must be saved in the engine control unit after a new valve has been installed. As a rule, however, the EGR valve does not need to be taught in; it is normally sufficient to delete the vehicle's fault memory.

Hello, what exactly does the error mean? My seat heaters do not work on the driver's and passenger's side, go on briefly and then go straight off (bmw e46 325i coupe 2003)

Hi Davyd, This could be due to a few different issues. It might be a problem with the seat heater elements themselves, the wiring, or the switches. I would recommend starting with checking the fuses for the seat heaters. If they're fine, you might want to check the wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion. If the issue persists, it's best to have a mechanic inspect the system for any other potential issues. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Hi Django, It seems like you've already replaced many parts related to the EGR system. If you're still experiencing issues, it might be worth checking the turbocharger, as a malfunctioning turbo can cause similar symptoms. Also, consider checking the wiring and connectors related to the EGR system for any signs of damage or corrosion. If everything looks good, you might want to consider having the ECU software checked for any issues. Please keep us updated on your progress.
