Clio power window regulator initialization

Hi, I have a 2021 Renault Clio Hybrid with 219533 km. Recently, after replacing the vehicle battery, the power windows stopped working. Now there's an error stored related to unsuccessful window regulator initialization. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Astra after the battery was disconnected. The power windows could no longer be operated. Have you tried checking the window switch and the wiring to the door panel? Sometimes a fuse might also be the culprit.

Thanks for the tip. I checked the fuses and they seem fine. The window switch looks okay too. What exactly did you do to fix the problem on your Astra? Was it also a window regulator initialization issue?

Yes, it turned out to be exactly that – the window regulator needed re-initialization. I tried a few DIY methods I found online, but none worked. In the end, I had to take it to a workshop to get it sorted with their diagnostic tools. Saved me a lot of frustration.

Okay, thanks for confirming. Sounds like I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. Got a quote for around 290€, so hopefully, that will sort it. Appreciate the help!
