Electrical fault in 2011 Mercedes C Class: sat nav failure and warning light illuminated

Hey guys, I'm investigating a problem with my 2011 Mercedes C Class petrol car. I'm struggling with a general electrical fault, the sat nav has stopped working and the warning light in the speedo is illuminated. Could this have something to do with the communication between the control units being faulty? Have any of you had experience of this and perhaps even a solution? I would be very interested to hear how you have had such problems rectified in the workshop. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello With my A Class (A180 Diesel) I have the problem that I have to turn the ignition key several times until I can start it. I realize this when I hear a muffled noise from the fuel tank.

The readout revealed EZS errors

The EZS (Electronic Ignition Switch) errors could be the cause of your issue. The EZS system is responsible for managing the functions related to starting the car. It could be a faulty ignition switch or a problem with the key itself. Try using a different key if you have one. If the problem persists, it's best to have a professional mechanic inspect the EZS system. This is a critical issue as it can prevent your car from starting. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Hello, unfortunately I cannot access the engine control unit in my 2007 and 2011 W204. Despite the OBD light, no error is displayed. Kind regards

Hi Lando, if you're unable to access the engine control unit despite the OBD light being on, it could be an issue with the OBD scanner or the connection. Try using a different OBD scanner if you have one, or check the connection between the scanner and the OBD port. If the problem persists, it might be a more serious issue with the engine control unit itself, in which case it would be best to have a professional mechanic inspect it. Please keep us updated on your progress.
