Hey! Thanks for sharing your saga with your CX-30, sounds like we're comrades in chips-gone-wild miseries. Great to hear you got it sorted and whipped things back into shape again. I reckon you're right, the control unit seems to be the prime suspect in this little melodrama playing out in my car. Now, if you still remember, how many quid did the whole fix set you back? I'm trying to get an idea about how deep I'm about to dig into my pocket. Plus, has anything new come up since your control unit was replaced or has it been a smooth ride ever since? Really appreciate your insights on this. Cheers for the advice!

Hey, always happy to share my experiences! As for your questions, the grand total for the control unit fix came to a cool 1000.00 €. Didn't hurt as much as I was expecting! Bit of money spent, but definitely worth the peace of mind, you know? Regarding your second question - well, touch wood, since I took my old girl to the mechanic, things have been running like a dream. Feels like I've got my car back to its unruffled self. Incorrect coding seems to have been the culprit and that was sorted out during my control unit fix. It's not always about the gutted wallet but making sure your ride runs smoothly and reliably, right? So don't hold back if it's about your car's health. Cheers and good luck with your control unit!

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to share your story and answering my queries. 1000.00 € doesn't sound too painful considering what's at stake here. I mean, what's a few quid compared to a safe and smooth drive, right? Really reassured to know that things have been working out for you since the fix. I'm hoping for the exact same outcome when I get mine sorted — back to a car without the arbitrary whims of a rogue control unit. Anyway, I'll take my Mazda to the mechanic first thing tomorrow and will follow your advice to the letter. Time to seek professional help and bid adieu to this code-spooked control unit typification! Major thanks for all your help. Happy driving and here's hoping I'll join the smooth-sailing club again soon! Cheers!

Hey there, sounds like a bit of a pickle you're in! I've got a 2020 Mazda CX-30, which is known for being pretty darn reliable. But even so, I had a similar situation last year where my control unit freaked out on me too. Pretty much anything with a chip in it refused to play ball! From the windshield wipers, to the A/C, down to the radio - zilch, nada! Our symptoms match like two peas in a pod, right down to that cheeky little warning light that decorates your dash. You're spot on, it's likely a control unit issue. I hauled my beast down to the garage and they confirmed my suspicions - faulty control unit. They swapped out the old unit for a shiny new one and it was smooth sailing again. There's a silver lining though, it's not like a transmission fail or engine blowout. Although it is indeed a serious issue if not attended to timely, it's still very much solvable. The important thing is to get it diagnosed by a professional mechanic. The sooner you know for certain, the sooner you can get the issue resolved. Just remember your car's trying to tell you something with that warning light, better to listen! Happy fixing!
