Electrical problems with the BMW X5 Diesel 2011: Flickering lights and weak battery

Hi everyone, I need your help. I drive a 2011 BMW X5 Diesel with about 130,000 km on the clock. Recently it has started having electrical problems - the lights are flickering, the battery is weak especially when starting and general electrical problems. The fault memory keeps showing up and I suspect problems with terminal 30. Has anyone ever had similar problems and can tell me about their experience at the mechanic? My last visit to the garage wasn't that great. Many thanks in advance!

Hello, I have just installed a new battery.

That's great, Trapmod68. Remember, if your vehicle has a Battery Management System, you'll need to register the new battery to your vehicle's computer system. This can be done using a tool like Carly or by a professional mechanic. This ensures your vehicle's charging system knows to adjust its charging rate to suit the new battery. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

BMW e64 diagnosis no function Otherwise everything works

Hello Claus, If your BMW E64 cannot be diagnosed using standard diagnostic tools, there might be a problem with diagnostic tool compatibility, blown fuse for diagnostic port, or OBD-II port is physically damaged. I would recommend to have it checked by a professional mechanic. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any other questions? Best Regards, Carly Team.

I have a 00A559 code, I need help with this one

The 00A559 code typically indicates an issue with the power supply being switched off. This could be due to a variety of reasons such as a weak battery, faulty wiring, or a problem with the ignition switch. I would recommend starting with a check of your battery's health and the wiring. If the problem persists, it would be best to have a professional mechanic inspect your vehicle. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Replaced and registered battery. Cleared all codes but OOA559 still persists. Anything to be concerned about?

The 00A559 code typically indicates an issue with the power supply being switched off. If you've already replaced and registered the battery but the code persists, it could be due to a wiring issue or a problem with the ignition switch. I would recommend having a professional mechanic inspect your vehicle's electrical system to identify the exact cause. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Hello why does it show me that the supply terminal 30g-f has been switched off, is the relay broken?

It doesn't show any critical errors in the FS . only observe the LMM, charge air hose . these are also newly installed 🤔

The message about supply terminal 30g-f being switched off could indicate an issue with the relay, but it could also be due to other factors such as a wiring issue or a problem with the ignition switch. Since you've recently installed a new LMM and charge air hose, I would recommend checking those installations to ensure everything is connected properly. If the problem persists, it would be best to have a professional mechanic inspect your vehicle. Please keep us updated on your progress.
