(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a 2018 BMW 2 Series petrol engine experiencing electronic issues, including a malfunctioning sat nav and warning lights on the speedometer. Possible causes suggested include faulty communication between control units, problems in the vehicle electrical system, and voltage fluctuations in the battery. Solutions proposed range from extensive troubleshooting and repair at a factory, to a simple reset of the control units by disconnecting the battery. In my car, every time I switch on the ignition, an SOS emergency call system error occurs, which then remains permanently in the BC. So as soon as the car has power, this error comes up and stays there until you turn the car off again.
This could be due to a problem with the SOS emergency call system itself, or it could be a symptom of a larger electrical issue. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect the SOS system and the vehicle's electrical system. It's important to address this issue as it can affect the safety and functionality of your vehicle.

Hello, I have a 2010 318d series with 182400km on the odometer. I have a problem with the abs system. Three lights are on in the cockpit: the anti-slip light, the abs light and park brake in yellow. The fault reported by Carly is 005DC2. Valve (USV2): general error. On cold starts, I get a "crunchy" brake pedal return for 1 second, then a "click-click" before exceeding 20km/h. But that's just at the start. That's all the information I've got. Thanks in advance

The error code you've mentioned typically indicates a problem with the ABS system, possibly a faulty valve. The "crunchy" brake pedal and clicking sound could be related to this issue. I would strongly recommend having a mechanic inspect your ABS system as soon as possible. This is a safety-relevant issue and should not be ignored. Please keep us updated on your progress.

On my 530i E60 I have combustion misfires on all cylinders even though I have changed the spark plugs, coils and camshaft sensors. I have also redone the vanos but still the same problem.

Misfires can be caused by a variety of issues. Since you've already replaced the spark plugs, coils, and camshaft sensors, it might be worth checking the fuel injectors and the fuel pressure. If these are fine, the issue could be with the engine control module or another part of the ignition system. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect these components. Please keep us updated on your progress.
