(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a 2018 BMW 2 Series petrol engine experiencing electronic issues, including a malfunctioning sat nav and warning lights on the speedometer. Possible causes suggested include faulty communication between control units, problems in the vehicle electrical system, and voltage fluctuations in the battery. Solutions proposed range from extensive troubleshooting and repair at a factory, to a simple reset of the control units by disconnecting the battery. A software update was also suggested as a potential fix for the sat nav issue.

I tried to code the I drive in the BMW f48. Unfortunately, the process crashed and could not be completed. I had to disconnect and restart everything. After that the idrive was completely gone. No navigation, no menu... everything was gone. So I put Carly back on and restored the backup. Unfortunately, this also failed. I then ran a diagnostic and deleted all errors and disconnected everything. Locked the car and waited a while. Then I reconnected Carly and tried to encode the backup again. And lo and behold, it worked. All functions such as navigation, media, reversing camera and all the bells and whistles were back.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to restore the iDrive system by encoding the backup again. It's important to always have a backup when making changes to your vehicle's software. If you encounter any further issues, don't hesitate to ask for help. Do you have any other questions or concerns?

Hello I have connected the adapter to my car and suddenly it shows the following errors. Once (message (lighting status, Ox21A) faulty, receiver combi, sender frm) and once (message (FRM footwell module, Ox4F0) faulty, receiver KOMBI, sender FRM). What does this mean?

These error codes typically indicate a communication issue between the footwell module (FRM) and the instrument cluster (KOMBI). This could be due to a faulty module, a wiring issue, or a software glitch. I would recommend starting with a simple reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If the problem persists, you may need to have a mechanic inspect the FRM and KOMBI modules. Please keep us updated on your progress.

This could be due to a problem with the audio system itself, or it could be a symptom of a larger electrical issue. I would recommend starting with checking the fuses related to the audio system. If the fuses are fine, the issue could be with the audio control module or the speakers. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect the audio system and the vehicle's electrical system. Please keep us updated on your progress.

The error code 4C3C typically indicates a problem with the throttle valve actuator. This could be due to a faulty actuator, a wiring issue, or a software glitch. I would recommend starting with a simple reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If the problem persists, you may need to have a mechanic inspect the throttle valve actuator. Please keep us updated on your progress.

The error code A3C7 typically indicates a problem with the air suspension system. The issue could be due to a faulty compressor, a leak in the air suspension system, or a problem with the level sensor. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect these components. Please keep us updated on your progress.
