Electronics problems with the 2018 BMW 2 Series petrol engine: sat nav failure and warning lights

Hello everyone, I have a few problems with my 2018 BMW 2 Series gasoline engine, which now has 27790 km on it. The electronics have recently started to go haywire, my sat nav sometimes won't start at all or only after a while. And sometimes a warning light comes on in the speedometer. Have any of you had similar problems and can tell me how they were solved by your mechanic? My last visit to the garage wasn't that great, so I'd better ask here before I go there again. Thanks in advance!

A "system too lean" error usually indicates that there's too much air and not enough fuel in your engine's air-fuel mixture. This could be due to a vacuum leak, a problem with the mass air flow sensor, or a faulty fuel injector. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect these components.

Hello, This sounds like a fault in the wiring harness of the engine control unit or a fault in the engine control unit itself. There could also be a problem with the power supply. Since your vehicle is an E9x model, the first thing I would check is the ground strap that goes from the engine to the body. This is located on the driver's side on the underbody, approximately where the gearbox is bolted to the engine. Even if the ground strap looks good on the outside, it is often the case that it is completely oxidized on the inside. You should also check the battery and the charging voltage from the alternator.

This could be due to a variety of issues, such as a problem with the fuel system, a clogged air filter, or a malfunctioning sensor. I would recommend starting with a check of the fuel system and air filter. If these are fine, you may need to have a mechanic diagnose the issue.

This could be due to a problem with your vehicle's electrical system or a malfunctioning instrument cluster. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect these components. It's important to address this issue as it can affect the safety and functionality of your vehicle.
