Looking for help with problems with VW Passat Diesel 2014: stuttering, increased consumption and black smoke

Hi guys! I'm having problems with my 2014 VW Passat Diesel. It stutters when accelerating, drives erratically, the engine cuts out, it stinks from the exhaust and emits black smoke when accelerating. It also consumes more fuel and the indicator light comes on. I suspect that the fuel injection pressure may not be correct. Do any of you have experience with this and can give me a few tips? Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2012 VW Golf Diesel. I would describe myself as someone with some car experience. I drive to the garage where they then found a faulty fuel pressure regulator. The repair cost me 255 euros at the time. Maybe it could be the fuel pressure regulator (KDR) in your car too? Could you give me some more information about your car, e.g. how many kilometers have you driven so far and when was the last time you had an inspection? I might be able to help you with more details.

Since you haven't had an inspection in over a year, it might be time to make another appointment anyway. As you say, take it to the garage and have the fuel pressure checked.
