Thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful to know it might just be the switch module. My symptoms sound exactly like what you described. If you don't mind me asking, what did you end up paying for the repair? Also, have you had any other electrical gremlins pop up since then? I'm trying to figure out if this might be part of a bigger issue I should watch out for.

Hey again! Good news, I've got an update for you! You know what, after seeing your follow-up, I figured I should let you know that my Cayenne's window is still working like a charm since getting it fixed. You were asking about the cost, I paid 130€ for the switch replacement. Pretty reasonable considering it completely solved the problem. And nope, haven't had any other electrical issues pop up since then. Honestly, it was just that isolated switch problem. I was also worried at first that it might be part of some bigger electrical gremlin, but it really wasn't. The switch module was just worn out, which apparently happens sometimes. Really glad I could help point you in the right direction! Sounds like your Macan's symptoms are super similar to what my Cayenne had. Let us know how it goes if you get it checked out!

What a relief! I actually just got back from the mechanic today. You were spot on, it was the switch module! The whole experience wasn't nearly as painful as I'd feared. Found this great independent Porsche specialist who diagnosed it right away. Cost me about 150€, which honestly feels like a bargain compared to what I was imagining for a regulator replacement. They had me in and out in about 2 hours, just like you said. The windows are working perfectly now, smooth and responsive, like they're brand new. No more fighting with that stubborn driver's side window! Can't believe I was stressing so much about this. Thanks again for sharing your experience, it really helped me avoid unnecessarily replacing the whole regulator. You saved me both time and money! I'll definitely keep this mechanic's contact for future reference. Sometimes these luxury car issues turn out to be simpler than we think!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2013 Porsche Cayenne last summer. The driver's side window started acting sluggish and would occasionally get stuck halfway. Turned out it wasn't actually the regulator, just a faulty window switch module. Took it to the Porsche dealership since I wanted to be sure. The tech showed me that the switch module was corroded and needed replacement. It wasn't a major repair, took them about 2 hours to fix. The window's been working perfectly since then. If your symptoms are like what I experienced (slow response, inconsistent operation), it might be worth checking the switch first before assuming it's the regulator. A good mechanic should be able to diagnose this pretty quickly with the right diagnostic tools. Hope this helps!
