Problems with ABS/DSC system and power steering in the 2014 BMW 4 Series

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my 2014 BMW 4 Series, gasoline engine. The ABS/DSC system is not working, the power steering is not working and the steering wheel is vibrating/shaking. I suspect it could be the steering angle sensor. Has anyone ever had a similar case and can provide troubleshooting tips? In particular, it would be interesting to know how the problem was solved in the workshop and what experience you have had with it. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello I have a bmw 118d from 2006 and my pdc has failed. I changed the pdc module then read the error again and now it tells me something about a wire of the left ultrasonic sensor. My question now is what is the best way to get there and what I should check. Thanks in advance :)

Hi, the error message suggests there might be a problem with the wiring to the left ultrasonic sensor. You should check the wiring for any visible damage, corrosion, or loose connections. If the wiring looks good, the sensor itself might be faulty. To access the sensor, you'll typically need to remove the bumper. However, if you're not comfortable doing this yourself, I would recommend taking your car to a professional mechanic. Please let us know how it goes.

Hi Reneval, if you're experiencing issues after changing the battery, it could be due to the car's computer system not recognizing the new battery. This is common in many modern vehicles and the solution is a process called battery registration. This process updates the car's computer system to acknowledge that a new battery has been installed. If not done, it can lead to various electrical issues. I recommend taking your vehicle to a mechanic or a BMW dealership to have this process performed. Please keep us updated on your progress.
