Seat Alhambra System Errors

I am experiencing some issues with my 2018 Seat Alhambra diesel, with approximately 115919 km on the clock. I'm getting sporadic errors in driving mode and the malfunction indicator lamp illuminates intermittently. The audio/navigation systems sometimes fail, and control units occasionally shut down or become unresponsive. The error memory indicates a potential issue with the cable connection to the BUS system. Any insights?

I have an Alhambra too, though I am not sure what year it is. I had something similar a while back. Random errors popping up, radio cutting out, that sort of thing. Did you try using an OBD-II scan tool to pull the error codes? It might give you a better idea of which control module is acting up. Could be a loose connection somewhere, I guess.

When you say similar, do you mean exactly the same systems failing, or just a general feeling of things going wrong? And did the scan tool point to a specific control module before you started troubleshooting?

Yeah, pretty much the same stuff. Audio, navigation, even the parking sensors acted up sometimes. The scan tool gave me a bunch of error codes related to different modules, but they all seemed to point back to some sort of communication problem. I'm no expert, but it sounds like the BUS system thing you mentioned. Honestly, I ended up taking mine to a shop. They sorted it out, but I cannot remember what they did.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to a workshop; they checked the BUS system cable connection on the control module. Turns out it was defective. Repair cost me 155€. All systems nominal now.
