Seat Ibiza knock sensor issue

My 2006 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine has a defective knock sensor. Mileage is 75981 km. Symptoms include the check engine light, higher fuel consumption, and uneven idling. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Ignition timing seems off.

Had similar poor performance issues with my Ibiza. Check engine light and uneven idling, does it happen after a cold start? Could be the knock sensor but I'm not sure. It's worth checking the connections first.

Fuel consumption was noticeably worse. I didn't get into ignition timing myself. I'd suggest taking it to a shop to confirm the knock sensor and wiring.

Confirmed it was the knock sensor connection. Auto repair shop charged 95€ to fix it. Appreciate the input.
