Skoda Fabia electrical malfunctions and dead navigation

My 2000 Skoda Fabia with a gasoline engine is acting up. It's got about 65155 km on it. I'm getting an error stored, general electrical malfunctions, and the navigation is dead. They're saying it's probably implausible programming of the control unit. Anyone seen this before?

Whoa, sounds like a bad scene! I had something similar happen with my Skoda Octavia. Was the control module fried? Have you checked the error codes?

Control module fried? I'm not sure, just saw the error in the memory. How did you figure out the control module was the culprit?

Yeah, my Octavia had similar symptoms. The garage said it was a software bug messing with the control unit. Definitely get it checked by a pro; might need a recalibration.

I got it sorted at the workshop. Recalibration of the control unit did the trick. 240€, but at least it's running smoothly now.
