Talisman Brake Light Error

I'm having trouble with my 2020 Renault Talisman diesel. I keep getting a brake light error. The lights don't work, and the infotainment system keeps flashing a warning. I've checked the bulbs, but they seem fine. I suspect a bad automotive switch but I'm not sure what to do next. The car has 132178 km on the clock, I may have accidentally hit the brake pedal when cleaning.

I had a similar issue with my Talisman, turned out to be a faulty brake light switch. Have you checked the error memory?

Yes, the error memory shows a fault with the brake light switch. Is it difficult to replace?

I didn't replace mine myself. I would suggest you visit a workshop. In my case, cleaning underneath the brake pedal solved the issue, probably something was blocking the pedal.

Thanks for the advice! I followed your suggestion and went to the workshop. They removed a tiny object blocking the brake pedal. Apparently, the switch was fine, and the repair cost me nothing!
