Tipo audio system failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Fiat Tipo diesel's audio system has completely failed, with no sound output and a fault stored. The issue might be related to the display unit, especially since Bluetooth connectivity was problematic before the failure. It is suggested to have the system checked at a workshop to confirm the display unit as the cause before proceeding with an expensive repair.

Bluetooth was acting up a bit beforehand, cutting in and out. No static, just silence. Volume control does nothing. You think it's the display unit itself, or something else in the audio chain?

Yeah, sounds like the display unit to me. The Bluetooth going wonky beforehand is a big clue. It's like when your home stereo amp dies but the lights are still on. I’d get it checked at a workshop; you don’t want to start throwing parts at it.

That's what I was afraid of. I'll take it to a shop and get it sorted. I got a quote of 725€ for the repair so I'll go ahead with it.

I had something similar happen on my Tipo. No sound. Check the dashboard controls first; those can be finicky. Is your Bluetooth connecting okay? Any static noise when you try to crank up the volume? It might sound like a bad ground, but the Tipo's audio setup can be a real head-scratcher.
