Thanks for the reply! You mentioned a faulty connection. Was it visibly corroded, or was it hard to spot? I've wiggled the connector a bit, but the light still comes on. I'm wondering if I need to look closer.

On my Corsa, it wasn't immediately obvious. I had to disconnect the plug and really look closely with a flashlight. There was some green corrosion on one of the pins. Even a tiny bit of corrosion can mess things up. Given that you've already checked the wiring, it might be worth getting a proper car diagnostics done at a workshop. In my case, the garage cleaned the connector and applied some contact grease, and it sorted the issue right out, good luck!

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on, it was the cable or plug connection that was defective! They cleaned it and now everything is working fine again. Total cost was 95€, so not too bad. Cheers!

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa a few years back. The symptoms were almost identical – warning light, error code, the works. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty connection to the sensor itself. Those little connectors can get corroded or damaged over time, leading to intermittent signals. Is the sensor easily accessible on the Vios?
