Hello friends I have a problem with a Bmw Serie 1 120d 177hp model 2008 E87 The problem is, the vehicle gives more or less violent acceleration on all gears and the DTC light (yellow triangle with the arrow) flashes at the same time. Not in reverse, but only in first gear It feels as if the wheel is rubbing something or holding it back We've already changed the right rear wheel with the mechanic; it was the only one that wasn't reading the information on the speed sensor, so the parts to change are hub bearings, ABS sensor (speed sensor). And the problem still persists, with no improvement. It's the same thing: the right rear wheel has trouble turning, as if something were blocking when the vehicle is lifted at the crick. Now I don't know what to do, even the Mecano is lost, we think maybe the caliper is seized or the cardan shaft. So if you have any information I'm interested Thanks

It sounds like you might have a problem with the brake caliper or the drive shaft as you mentioned. A seized brake caliper could cause the wheel to have difficulty turning. I would recommend checking the brake caliper and the drive shaft for any signs of damage or wear. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, it would be best to have a professional mechanic inspect it.

Hello, It sounds as if the DSC system is controlling incorrectly. It is a known problem with these vehicles that the drive shaft on the ABS sensor rusts. Rusting causes the drive shaft to rub against the ABS sensor, which prevents it from working properly.

Although I have no definitive proof, my under voltage conditioning suddenly vanished after taking the car on a long run. I'm pretty certain the 15minute trip to and from work each just wasn't allowing the batteries (ex police vehicle, 2 batteries) to properly charge, so day on day the charge state was dropping until the weird electrical problems started to intermittently appear. So although dry voltage was ok and idle charge was safely in range, the vehicle also needs long enough to properly charge or all those computers start to complain.

Very basic, replaced the battery, which was 12 years old

Hello, How old are the batteries installed in your vehicle?

It sounds like your alternator might be overcharging the battery. Normally, the voltage should be between 13.7 and 14.7 volts when the engine is running. I would recommend having your alternator checked by a professional mechanic.

I'm with the Carly mechanic on this one... sounds most likely the voltage regulator on the alternator isn't playing properly. It is a replaceable part although once confirmed, you might be better off exchanging the complete alternator.
