Hello, I have a huge problem. I drive a BMW X3 35i 306hp gasoline N55 engine. Engine runs out of round when stationary. According to Carly, I have so far replaced the throttle valve, intake manifold pressure sensors, mass air flow sensor and valve cover. I have also already carried out a leak test with a fog machine. The intake manifold has also been blasted with walnut grit. So far without success. Before this problem, the eccentric shaft and the servomotor were replaced on my vehicle. Since then it has been running unevenly when stationary. Otherwise it actually runs very well. Please help me. Could it possibly be that the eccentric shaft was installed incorrectly?
Hello, It's possible that the eccentric shaft was installed incorrectly or not calibrated properly after installation. This could cause the engine to run unevenly. I would recommend having a mechanic check the installation and calibration of the eccentric shaft. If the problem persists, it might be worth checking the fuel injectors and spark plugs as well.

Many thanks for the quick reply. I had my vehicle's fault memory read out. They found out that one cylinder's burn time was too short. All cylinders had a firing time of approx. 1.8 ms, only one had 1.1 ms. What does this mean?

CarlyMechanic: This could indicate a problem with the fuel injector for that particular cylinder. It might not be delivering the correct amount of fuel, which could cause a shorter burn time. I would recommend having the fuel injectors checked and cleaned or replaced if necessary.

Hello, I drive an e46 325i M54 engine and I recently discovered a problem with my acceleration, where a delay is present when I press down on the acceleration pedal. I decided it’s the throttle body potentiometer, and acceleration pedal sensor. I’m having trouble finding compatible parts because every part is only suited for the M3 with the S54 engine, is it the same part?

The throttle body potentiometer and acceleration pedal sensor for the M54 engine in your E46 325i are not the same as those for the S54 engine in the M3. These parts are engine-specific and it's crucial to get the correct ones for your vehicle to ensure proper functioning. I recommend checking with a BMW parts supplier or your local dealership to find the correct parts for your model.

Hi i got an bmw 320d m47 e91 but it has power loss and a fault code 00483D throttle actuator, I’ve changed the throttle/Egr but the problem is there still and the car won’t give power, dpf seems fine and not clogged as well, the boost start kicking in 2500rpm and it doesn’t feel like 190hp, I had a remap as well

Hello I have no problem with throttle valve error

Had the same issue with a 2009 W204 Mercedes C Class C220 if you kick down on the pedal to accelerate it would go into limp home mode and disable the turbo and throw up an EML. Turned out to be the accelerator pedal being faulty. Fitted a new one and no more issues.

Thanks for sharing your experience, TEDDYBLAZER. It's always helpful to hear about similar issues and their solutions. It's a good reminder that sometimes the issue can be with the accelerator pedal itself.
